Terms of Service

These terms govern use of Personal Assistant (“the service”), the product at www.pragyan.ca also known as Pragyan. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

Personal Assistant is software that lets you ask an assistant, spend assistant credits, and optionally connect Gmail (read-only), Calendar (read-only), Telegram, and website monitoring. Features may be enabled or paused by environment configuration. We do not promise that every integration is live in every environment.

The assistant uses AI. Replies, summaries, and attention items can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. You remain responsible for how you use the output. Do not rely on the service as the sole check for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

You sign in with Clerk. You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in method under your control. You are responsible for activity on your account. The service is for your own personal or internal use unless we agree otherwise in writing.

New accounts include a 30-day trial with 500 assistant credits. Credits are a usage measure inside the product, not cash, and they are not transferable. Different tasks cost different amounts of credits. If you run out, related jobs may skip until more credits are available.

Paid plans, Stripe checkout, and the customer portal may be offered when billing is enabled. Amounts and allowances come from the plans we publish in the product. We may also accept a hashed access code that grants one month of a paid plan’s monthly credits without a Stripe charge. Codes are single-use.

Trial and credit grants do not guarantee uninterrupted service or any particular AI quality. Unused trial credits expire when the trial ends unless the product states otherwise. We may change plan prices or credit costs; changes apply going forward.

Connecting Gmail, Calendar, or Telegram is optional. When you connect Google, you authorize our server to obtain and store encrypted OAuth tokens and to call Google APIs within the scopes shown on the Google consent screen.

For Gmail we request read-only access (gmail.readonly) plus openid and email. The product does not send mail, create drafts, or modify labels, archives, or trash on your behalf. Do not expect send or modify behavior.

Calendar, when connected, is read-only. Create, update, and cancel remain proposals in this release. You can disconnect a provider at any time in Connections; we then revoke and clear stored tokens where the provider allows.

You must have the right to connect the Google account, Telegram chat, and websites you add. Do not connect accounts or inboxes you are not allowed to access.

You may not:

• Break the law or use the service to harm others
• Probe, scrape, or disrupt the service, other users, or connected providers
• Attempt to bypass credit limits, rate limits, or tenant isolation
• Upload malware or content you do not have rights to process
• Use connected mail or calendar data for spam, surveillance of others, or ads
• Resell access or share your account in a way that conceals who is using it
• Misrepresent the service as verified by Google or as holding certifications we have not stated

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

We provide the service as-is. We may add, change, or withdraw features, pause billing or integrations, or take the service down for maintenance. We will try to avoid surprise disruption, but we do not guarantee uptime, delivery of every scheduled job, or that a connected provider (Google, Telegram, or others) will remain available.

We own the service, branding, and software. You keep rights in the content you submit (asks, profile text, URLs). You grant us a license to process that content solely to operate the service for you. AI output is provided to you for use with the service; providers may have their own terms for generated text.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. AI OUTPUT MAY BE WRONG. GMAIL ACCESS IS READ-ONLY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CONNECTED PROVIDERS WILL AUTHORIZE OR CONTINUE ACCESS.

TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR CREDITS, ARISING FROM THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR FIFTY CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $50).

Some places do not allow these limits. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

You may stop using the service and request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account for violation of these terms, non-payment, abuse, or if we discontinue the product. After closure, stored tokens are removed as described in the Privacy Policy. Credits have no cash value on termination.

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after the update means you accept the new terms. The current terms live at www.pragyan.ca/terms.
